Project walk-through

INTRODUCTION TO CARMELCREST

Carmelcrest is a professionally run, third-generation building company which has operated in the commercial sector for thirty-seven years. We have a very good reputation in the industry for high quality and working in sensitive environments (such as schools and live hospital wards). In 2019 we officially launched our residential division, bringing with us our professional ethos for quality and client care. When we say that we deliver projects to a professional finish, we mean it. We invite you to browse images of our most recently completed project, a conversion of 8no. city centre apartments in Peterborough. Below we have listed some key points when working with Carmelcrest.

RESPECTING YOUR HOME

We are paranoid about client satisfaction. We understand that building works can be stressful and disruptive for clients. So we would like to reassure you that our staff are trained to respect you and your home. We go the extra mile to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Specifically: • To be respectful at all times. • To protect your health and safety. • Protect your existing finishes inside and out of your home. • Minimise dust by sheeting up and by using extraction. • Deliveries only at times which does not disrupt to you or your neighbours. • Minimise noisy operations when inconvenient. • Clean up after ourselves. • Confine ourselves to the work area only.

SUPERVISION

For your peace of mind, all our projects are managed by a professional site manager, who will be supported by a project manager. The site manager will be dedicated to your project and will be on site every day. He will be your day-to-day point of contact. The project manager will have at least three projects running, and will attend site weekly to check on progress against the programme, quality of work, health and safety and client satisfaction.

AFTERCARE SERVICE

Our aftercare service is second to none. You will be given a dedicated office contact who will arrange for an operative to visit within 2 days or the same day in the unlikely event of an emergency to inspect the work. Then arrange a convenient time to rectify the work. This is for 12 months after the completion of work.

PRE-START MEETING

Before we start on site, we will arrange a Pre-Start Meeting with all interested parties in attendance. This meeting is to discuss the forthcoming work in detail. It is a time when all parties will raise issues and decide together a plan to mitigate those issues. This, along with regular progress meetings leads to a smooth running project.

PROCESS

We find many clients have little understanding of the building process. So in the interests of openness and clarity, we will provide a fact sheet for your information which will explain the building process and hopefully answer all your questions. Any questions arising from the sheet can be discussed at any time leading up to appointment, and at the pre-start meeting.
